The definition of beauty is simply a broad topic and may end up in debate. For me beauty is in the eyes of the beholder… I am pretty sure you won’t have hairsplitting arguments with me or this world will be just one chaos finding the true essence of beauty. All women are created with unique beauty so men are but I stick with my own definition that beauty depends on how I see a person.
I don’t go for women who have to expose their skin to accentuate their hotness and to stimulate guys for attraction. I don’t go either to femme fatal women alluring men to seduction. I go for inner beauty which will last for a lifetime. Beauty is ephemeral; it will fade out when we grow old. The texture of our skin will shrink and our face may have hundreds of marching fine lines. Fine, that is part of growing old. What is most significant is how you establish relationship with people and how you left a trace of footprints in their hearts. Among the arsenal of women in Qualfon, I find Maybelle with enticing personality, both outside and inside. The more I learn to know her better, the more I find her beautiful. I just love this girl.

I had the opportune time to have a date with Maybelle last week at McDonald IT Park. It was a muggy afternoon under the scourging heat of the sun, the effect of global warming and it has not been raining. I was sweating profusely. Maybelle was patiently waiting for me inside. She was in jeans, purple blouse, black overcoat and flat shoes. She looked magnificently glamorous without make-up. I noticed in her that she loves purple color.
Purple is the color of good judgment. It is the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment. It is said if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. Purple is a good color to use in meditation.
There were myriad of customer swarming McDonald that time. We were seated near the glass at the left side when facing the counter. We ordered Chicken Fillet McSavers. After filling our stomachs with junky foods and making ourselves comfortable, I grabbed my pen and notebook and started punching Maybelle with questions. She was a little bit shaky….
Q & A thing:
Beth: What are your challenges in Operations?
Maybelle: Encountering new things like issues and escalations. There seems to be unending story about new things to be learned on the floor that makes work interesting.
Beth: May I know when you were endorsed to production?
Maybelle: I was endorsed to production on May 19, 2008. I am 3 ½ years in Qualfon.
Beth: What is your happiest moment in Qualfon?
Maybelle: When I was in TSR…no pressure, no qualms. My mind was more focused on performance.
Beth: May I know when you became a QA?
Maybelle: I became a QA in August 2009. I was the first batch. Out of 14 who passed the screening, I belong to the top 10. I was assigned to monitor and evaluate the calls of one team from TSR and conduct phone simulation.
Beth: When were you endorsed as Supervisor?
Maybelle: I was endorsed to Supervisor in April 2010. I was first assigned to TSR/Legacy under SM Elma Yuzon, and then I was transferred to ST Department under SMs Chatto and Kethrin Labrague. I was again escalated to ST/SG under SM Jan Ortega for 2 months. Presently, I am assigned in KANA Department.
Beth: Do you have any plan for greener pasture outside Qualfon?
Maybelle: As of now, I am not yet ready to seek greener pasture. I am just happy of what I am doing for the moment.
Maybelle has 2 college courses in a row. First, she took Physical Therapy for 3 years. Second, she studied Nursing for 3 years at UC Banilad which she plans to finish when the right time comes. Although Maybelle did not finish her courses, I find her astute, intelligent and have a good command of English grammar. I had read her correspondence through Microsoft Outlook when she was still actively involved with ST and ST/SG Department.

Mind you, Maybelle is one great singer. The quality of her voice is big. She can be another version of Charice if she would focus on her singing prowess. I heard her sing when we had bonding moment at the videoke bar with Mike Merino, Fred Martinez, Bryan Fuentes, my daughter, Dawn, etc. When she sings, I was fascinated because I am not a good singer. I guess she only needs to put more soul in the song and lo, she’ll be a divalicious. Accordingly, it has not come into her mind to pursue a singing career except when she was seventeener, she loved to be a singing diva. She was even encouraged to audition for first season of Qualfon Idol but for some reason, she did not join. The course of time may change. Whatever the reason behind, we must respect. There will come a time in a day that the course of decision may change and if Maybelle does, she will be a great singing powerhouse.
Aside from singing, Maybelle is keen to reading books and surfing the net. She loves shouting out at FB. Well, self-advertisement is free in FB. No need to pay single penny to post your pictures. The plus factor is you can shout out your emotions and sentiments that may get hundreds of reactions or may raise their eyebrows but darn, who cares this is a social networking.
Maybelle stands 5’4” tall. She is slim but not bony. Her black straight hair is proportion to her slender figure. She doesn’t need necessary make-up to look sophisticated. Yet when she does, you can never imagine that she is Maybelle. She’s so sexy and foxy. She told me she has no precious diet. She carves to any foods when she is starving. Her body has fast metabolism, the secret for staying slim and fit
When I asked what type of people she likes to go with. She said that she just go with the flow. Not choosy with particular person. Most of the time, she wants to be alone imprisoned in the four walls of her room but she is not a loner. Being alone doesn’t mean you are lonely or in gloomy state. Even though she is not choosy, she is basically irked with people who are pretentious, plastic and liars.
Maybelle when asked how she described herself. She lamented that she is simple but complicated… hmmm I am rolling in the deep.
Her philosophy in life is “Take life as it comes. Cross the bridge when you get there.”
Nice 1 mommy beth... that's maybelle... :)
