Chapter XIX: The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

The dusk finally took its tool. We took a chartered plane from Tokyo International airport at exactly 9:00 pm as scheduled. The weather was sublime and cooperative. I knew leaving the portals of Khail’s mansion; I would not be protected by the invincible walls that Joey built. I knew that leaving the mansion would open me up to knowledge about legacy and the incredible wealth. Leaving the Japan too would be my first exposure to human world since I was under the custody of Khail. With me were my super-duper extraordinary siblings who would risk their lives for my protection.

I wonder why dad has to let us board the plane to Greece when we can fly and reach Greece in a matter of few minutes. This is an exhausting and boring flight. I would rather love to fly and let the small wings in my ankles flicker back and forth. I'd like to feel myself flying like Tinkerbell with her small dragon-like wings flickering.  See the objects below like they are microbe gasping for life.  See the splendid beauty of the earth. See the colossal blue water divided by  lands. I raised my both arms upward and uttered, “Oh this is freedom. I love it.”

I saw Mikhail winked at me who was seated just right beside me. Darwin and Stephen were seated separately near the window. Stephen was reading a woman's magazine. Darwin's  ears were plugged with earphones and eyes closed.  I bet he was listening to jazz music. His favorite piece of music. Jeez, so Stephen had a feeling for her opposite sex. I have never seen him dating gals.  Or maybe he was dating but oblivious to me. He could sneak anyway. Damn! who cares anyway? Girls could be attracted. His face was so angelic that could melt any women's heart. Women would go crazy chasing at him. Just like chasing butterflies. Just a thought that came to my mind that it made me giggled.

“Hey Abby,” called Stephen. “You have a nasty mind.”  Ops, he read my mind. “Don’t get piss,” I told Stephen. Then I made a sign of peace but I still kept on giggling.

“I am not pissed Abby. Actually, I am looking for new fashions trends in this mag. Ah what’s the name of this mag..oh yeah Seventeen. You need to wear trendy outfits not sporty one. You will look gorgeous and mature when you wear these dresses. The people in Greece must see you with a mature sophisticated look. Not a young 12 year old lass.  We need to place an order to be delivered to our suite before we reached  Thessaly.” Stephen was teasing me.

I gasped. “Oh really! Let me see that magazine. I should order for myself. Not you. How do you know about fashions?” I reacted. “Girl, I went to fashion designing school in Paris. I kept going back and forth between Japan and Paris. That is why, you can see me and you don’t sometimes but I am always with you my little sissy. Part of your father’s business is manufacturing garments. I design clothes. You have little idea how rich you are,” declared Stephen.

“Even though, I should choose what is the best outfit for me. I know my taste.” I scoffed at Stephen. My face frowning. I heard Stephen ordered clothes for me from a Bethany Boutique Store in Greece. Lots of establishments named after my mom. Dresses from famous fashions designers. I heard Stephen ordered dozens. "Gosh what would I do with those dresses," I said to myself. I abhor to hear their conversation  My inside was boiling but I needed to control my anger. When I got mad, things would not go right for all of us. I kept quiet for a moment then I dazed to sleep.

Suddenly I heard a strong force of noise just on the plane’s roof. "Thug, thug." It seemed like a big object fell on the plane's roof. I was alarmed of the noise. I sensed an eminent danger.  “An enemy?” I said to myself. “What’s up, Abby?" asked Mikhail. "I heard a noise on the roof of the plane," I said. "Yeah, I heard too," paralleled Darwin.

“Let me take a look at it. Some evil forces might be spying on us,” said Mikhail. “I’ll go along with you bro,” Darwin told Mikhail. "Abby stay here. Stephen watched over Abby," Mikhail commanded. They were about to leave when we heard a familiar sound of voice.

“There’s no need. Sorry, it was me.  I was just making a fuss to frighten all of you,” laughed Joey. I have been sitting on the plane’s roof since this plane embarked from  Japan. It was so cold outside. I need to get inside the plane.  Oh is there any coffee?” Joey never stopped talking to justify his actions.

We all stared at each other. After few minutes of silence, there  was a chorus of laughter all over the plane. Good Joey was around. At least, I was confident that no harm will be afflicted on us. Eventually I was not scared with this journey. I only wanted that our flight to Greece would be smooth sailing before I have to face Kalil. Thinking about this guy excites me.

“You can go to sleep guys. I just need a sip of coffee. You don’t have to worry. This plane is protected by invincible wall,” Joey declared. Joey winked at me. I smiled at him.  I tried to close my eyes. It would be a long journey to Greece. About 13 hours.
