Chapter XXII: The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen An...

Alan approached his father, Kalil, “How many more hours to prepare, dad?

We have approximately 5 hours to go,” answered Kalil.

Kalil had noticed that Alan was somewhat perturbed and his golden thick eyebrows met together. He sensed that something was disturbing him. He was walking back and forth. Back and forth! The strides of his walks were too rapid that it created an echoing whoosh sounds. When Alan was upset he would walk back and forth too fast like a speed of light.  He hadn’t realized that his movements were already creating a cacophonous erring sound. The surroundings were heavy with metal clanging, clashing sounds. Too much painful for the eardrums! If not stopped, the sounds could destroy human eardrums. In one fast motion, Kalil gripped his right forearm to stop Alan from moving back and forth.

“Stop it son! That’s my order,” warned Kalil. Alan halted. His feet created a screech sound.

“What’s the matter with you, son. You are restless. Something is befuddling you, right?

Alan responded with a nod. “I tried to communicate with Abigail. Offered my friendship but she resisted.  And God, she is too headstrong. On the other hand, I can feel her power surging through my body and my soul. And….God, she is femme fatale! Her violet eyes, her blond wavy hair, her thin heart-shaped lips, her voluptuous body. Everything in her is beautiful. I find it hard to define her splendid beauty. It is beyond words. She is not like human at all but more of a spiritual being in form of a human. OMG, she is irresistible.

Kalil was amused and smiled to Alan. “Hmm you tried communicating with her, eh? She is of course Alan.  When John was still in Italy, I often visited them there. She was such an adorable babe. When I touched her the first time, I quivered. A strong electro-magnetic current was transmitted to my being. There I knew that Abigail was an extraordinary child. A gifted child, that is.   You were also a baby at that time. Unlike Abigail, you were born half-angel and half-human. Abigail was born more of human than of angel. She is of second generation of Zar.”

Alan inhaled deeply and said, “How can we work together if she resisted the friendship I offered her?

“It was premature for you to communicate with her, Alan. You should have not done that, at the first place. It might destroy the plan and will redound to havoc of misunderstanding among us that I don’t like to happen.”

“I am sorry dad, that won’t happen again.”

“It was registered in her mind that we are the enemies of the legions before she left Japan. This is the first time Abigail expose herself to the “world.” She has been living under the custody of Khail since she was three to protect her from the evil plots of August. When she was born, John wanted her to be the legacy to richest and he thought that Abigail has no power at all like him and like other half-humans and half-angel offspring. Then one day, Khail discovered that Abigail was not an ordinary being. He had to summon John and his grandfather, Zar to witness how Abigail could manipulate and transform things out of her mind. She had been trained by her grandfather, Zar how to control and use her extraordinary powers when the situations warrants. Abigail sometimes uses her powers out of proportions and become a demon of her own self. You must understand that Abigial would not trust us at all. Later on, when she knows that this is so called “mission” is an acid test. You will be of good friends. Trust me,” explained Kalil.

“She knows, dad.” Alan responded.

“What do you mean she knows?” asked Kalil.

“I just feel she knows, dad. That’s all.”

Kalil was suspicious and looked straight at Alan. “You told her when you tried to communicate with her?

“No dad. I just feel she knows.” Alan lied. Then Alan right away changed the topic. Is everything then ready dad?

“Yes, I make sure that everyone involved in the mission is all positioned and ready before Abigail and Khail’s sons landed in Greece. The plane they took is programmed for 13 hours of travel not unless Abigail discovers the trick and manipulates the robot plane. If she discovers, I know his so called siblings will discourage her to reprogram the robot.   The chamber is ready. The men and women, young and old who are hired are ready to pose themselves as catatonic or walking zombies on the streets. The dimensional venues are ready. The fallen angels made sure that that Thessaly is all secured. Joey built invincible walls around Thessaly. We don’t want evil forces to infiltrate and attack us with their cadaverous sulfuric saliva, just what they did in Japan 6 years ago.  Zar, John, khail, Haniel and the legions are all here. I bet this will be fun. I am too eager to meet Abby in a surprising way.”

Oblivious to Khail, Alan’s heart was pounding too fast again. He was more excited to meet Abby. He was definitely enchanted.

Chapter XXI: The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

He did chase the butterflies virtually. He gazed at those thousands of butterflies flying in many directions in the air. They looked so marvelous. At instant those butterflies turned to purple roses as they all fell down to the ground. The garden was now covered with purple roses – a paradise. He picked one purple rose then threw it upward the sky and in one moment they turned back to purple butterflies. The butterflies were flying all around again in the atmosphere however after few minutes they vanished in thin air. All I could see were silver dust falling down to the ground. Gone were the butterflies that I had created. I was flabbergasted. This boy could do so much the same thing that I could do. I quivered of the thought. I loved butterflies. Making them into silver dust was a big contrary to me. My shocked turned into horror that I squirmed on my seat and made a small sound.

He sensed that I was furious of what I saw. My reaction made him baffled. He thought that I would enjoy  his mavericks. He relayed a message to me, “Abigail, I am sorry. I am going to transform them back to butterflies.” I fret back, “No, the game is over.”  He tried to say something but I blocked his message with all my power. His message boomerang back to him. He was off balance and he fell on the ground sitting on his butt. I heard him said, “Ouch”. I giggled. I saw him forlorn of what I did. He raised his right arm. I was amazed to see the butterflies flying upward the sky and formed these words, “I AM NOT AN ENEMY BUT YOU NEED TO PASS THE TEST WITH MY FATHER.”

Stephen woke me up. “Something wrong Abby?” he asked. “No I said. I was just dreaming. You don’t have to worry I am fine,” I said but it was ultimately a lie. “I heard you made strange sounds and you were talking in alien language unknown to us.” “Oh that, I was actually trying to practice talking in the Hebrew language,” I replied. Joey butt-in, “If you want to speak in Hebrew you have to learn that from me. I am a linguist. I can speak of many tongues.” “I would be more than happy,” I told Joey.

Alan was not definitely happy of what I have done to him. I saw that on his face. I was still a spoil brat perhaps or it was just a showmanship of power between the two of us. Whoever was the powerful could win the game of the mind. That was what I always hate about myself. The stubbornness in me but I was not a punk kid who loved to create vandalism in the neighborhood. It was for me a competition or a rivalry.  Despite of showing off which power was superb, I found him not a threat but an ally.  “Once and for all, I need to find the truth about Kalil and Alan. Are they allies or are they nemesis?” I questioned myself. That remained to be seen from this vantage point of view.

It was almost 6:00 in the morning. The sun rose from its horizon nest. Round and burning red! The rays of the sun made the clouds looked like flaring orange. Part of the sky seemed pale painted with light blue color. Looking down hundreds feet below was a vast body of ocean and somewhere at the edge of the ocean, the sky and the ocean intertwine. When you go to the edge of the ocean, it never meets the sky. It was such an illusion, a mystery. I sighed and stretched my body. Everyone was quiet and engrossed with their own thinking. Everybody was stationed at their seats. I broke the silence. I asked “How many more hours before we reach Greece.”  “Approximately, 5 hours more,” said Mikhail.

“Wow this trip is really long.”

“Well this plane is program for 13 hours of flight”

“You mean Mikhail this plane something kind of a robot.”

Mikhail smiled, “Yes Abby. It is. There is no pilot in this plane.”

“Cool. You people know a lot, except me.

“But you are more powerful than us, remember that.”

Mikhail was right. He was right and I said to them, “I can have the power to control this plane and we’ll be Greece in few minutes.”

“Never do that Abby. Our time travel is already programmed. Do not  alter anything of the plan. You need to make a calculation of how time works. That is imposed already,” sternly reminded Mikhail.

“I never had any idea of all these impositions. All I know I am in mission with a little help from you guys.”

“You’ll know that soon so chill Abby.”

Joey snapped. “Remember I am here Abby. You’ll be safe.”

Chapter XX: The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

Joey was sitting just behind me. He was enjoying sipping the black coffee while looking through the window. I heard him murmured something to his self but it was in a Hebrew language. “Hey Joey!” I spoke out loud since I was sitting in front of him. “Yes my princess,” he answered. “You scared the hell our butts Joey. How come you are here? You are supposed to be in Shangri-La. You are not part of the team. Besides, I can manage myself. My siblings are with me. So why bother to come with us?” I was so smug. Joey gulped all the black coffee before he answered me. “Wow, you bombarded me with so many questions dear. Do I have to repeat myself again Abby? Well you know since you were born, I had been protecting you. I told you already about this. This is my mission until the time comes that you can be on your own. Did I make myself clear my princess?” declared Joey. I just answered bluntly, “Okay copy Sir.”  I heard Joey said softly, “Excellent kid and modesty aside, Richard is there.”

The ensuing of the night was not that dark and void at all. I could see stars blinking, twinkling in the darkness. I smiled. I remembered when I was two years old, my dad flew me up in the sky at night just to watch the stars twinkling, blinking and flickering. They decorated the sky like diamonds that you wanna picked them one by one. Yet all you could do is just watch their opulence of beauty. Down, I could see also millions of fluorescent and neon lights flickering in the dark. The lights gave so much beauty and mystery to the darkness.

I remained silent for few hours until I felt drowsy at the end that I had to close my eyes to sleep but my subconscious mind was very much alert. My subconscious mind was my autopilot when I sleep. It could receive and transmit messages. I could sense if there was danger. I could transform my imagination to reality. I was always good at this.  I was in the middle of my sleep when I heard a message from Kalil. “I have been waiting for you Abigail.”  His voice was so gentle and calm. I saw his image finally in front of me without the self-made projector of Khail with a boy beside him like my age. His son. They both were smiling together at me and welcoming me.  Then they were gone. I opened my eyes my heart pounding fast. I blurted out, “He and his son are expecting me.”  “Who?” queried Mikhail.  “Kalil and Alan,” I said. “So they know you are coming Abby. They are prepared and they are starting psychological war with you. They look too innocent and angelic but they are dangerous and a threat. Erasing memories are their masterpiece. So be careful. Kalil may overpower your mind.” Mikhail reminded me. I just nodded my head but at the back of my mind, I sense something different. Kalil and his son, Alan are not evils. That I need to find this out! I blurted out again absentmindedly. “His son has a violet eyes and a wavy curly hair like mine. I find him very attractive looking guy and enchanting.  There is something in eyes that magnetize me.”  They never reacted to my statement. It looked like they were dumbfounded. I found their reactions peculiar so I asked, “Anything wrong to what I said?” “Abby, I know it is normal for you to get attracted to guys but it is against the rule. You are in a mission. You need to fix these people not being attracted to Kalil’s son,” reminded Mikhail. “I know my limitations of course,” I snapped back. “Don’t fret, Abby or this plane will plummet down,” teased Darwin. “Hey stop pissing me off.”

“Shhhhh” Joey reminded us to keep quiet. Everybody was silent and thanks for Joey, my siblings never tried to tease me again. We were almost 5 hours on board and I succumbed to boredom. I went to the wash room to pee. Then I washed my hands and face with a perfumed bar soap. I wiped my face with a soft pink face towel while staring at the mirror in front of me. I inspected my face few minutes. My ego told me, "What a beautiful lady you are." I laughed and said, "You are conceited Abigail." I guess it was natural for me to be conscious how I look. I was in my puberty age. I was on the brink of leaving the wash room when I noticed a purple rose on the basin. I had never seen a purple rose. This one was so unique.  There was no purple rose when I came in so I said to myself. “How come there is a purple rose here? My spine chilled. My stomach churned.  I picked the purple rose. I read the small note tagged to it. It said, “I am so glad we will finally meet. My father talks many things about you. It is me, Alan.”  I find this mysterious. How come Alan can penetrate the plane when it is shield by invincible wall? Does it mean that Alan has  the same power as mine.? My heart raced fast again. I tucked the note in my pocket and throw the purple rose in the garbage. I don't want them to see this.

I returned to my seat without saying any words but my heart was still hammering loudly inside. I closed my eyes. I let my mind traveled to Greece. It traveled a speed of light. Rainbow colors kept on flashing and dancing back and forth, rotating, wiggling, spiraling while it traveled.  Finally, it reached the home of Kalil. I saw Alan in the garden dressed in a sporty outfit. He was holding a bow and an arrow. Archery the favorite sports of angels. He had a perfect body built at the age of 12. His body was muscular and sturdy.  What could a woman ask for?   He stopped when he saw thousands of butterflies flying around. The butterflies made a letter formation in the air that read, “I AM READY.” Then I said to him, “Chase the butterflies.”  He charmingly smiled and my heart melts.

Chapter XIX: The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

The dusk finally took its tool. We took a chartered plane from Tokyo International airport at exactly 9:00 pm as scheduled. The weather was sublime and cooperative. I knew leaving the portals of Khail’s mansion; I would not be protected by the invincible walls that Joey built. I knew that leaving the mansion would open me up to knowledge about legacy and the incredible wealth. Leaving the Japan too would be my first exposure to human world since I was under the custody of Khail. With me were my super-duper extraordinary siblings who would risk their lives for my protection.

I wonder why dad has to let us board the plane to Greece when we can fly and reach Greece in a matter of few minutes. This is an exhausting and boring flight. I would rather love to fly and let the small wings in my ankles flicker back and forth. I'd like to feel myself flying like Tinkerbell with her small dragon-like wings flickering.  See the objects below like they are microbe gasping for life.  See the splendid beauty of the earth. See the colossal blue water divided by  lands. I raised my both arms upward and uttered, “Oh this is freedom. I love it.”

I saw Mikhail winked at me who was seated just right beside me. Darwin and Stephen were seated separately near the window. Stephen was reading a woman's magazine. Darwin's  ears were plugged with earphones and eyes closed.  I bet he was listening to jazz music. His favorite piece of music. Jeez, so Stephen had a feeling for her opposite sex. I have never seen him dating gals.  Or maybe he was dating but oblivious to me. He could sneak anyway. Damn! who cares anyway? Girls could be attracted. His face was so angelic that could melt any women's heart. Women would go crazy chasing at him. Just like chasing butterflies. Just a thought that came to my mind that it made me giggled.

“Hey Abby,” called Stephen. “You have a nasty mind.”  Ops, he read my mind. “Don’t get piss,” I told Stephen. Then I made a sign of peace but I still kept on giggling.

“I am not pissed Abby. Actually, I am looking for new fashions trends in this mag. Ah what’s the name of this mag..oh yeah Seventeen. You need to wear trendy outfits not sporty one. You will look gorgeous and mature when you wear these dresses. The people in Greece must see you with a mature sophisticated look. Not a young 12 year old lass.  We need to place an order to be delivered to our suite before we reached  Thessaly.” Stephen was teasing me.

I gasped. “Oh really! Let me see that magazine. I should order for myself. Not you. How do you know about fashions?” I reacted. “Girl, I went to fashion designing school in Paris. I kept going back and forth between Japan and Paris. That is why, you can see me and you don’t sometimes but I am always with you my little sissy. Part of your father’s business is manufacturing garments. I design clothes. You have little idea how rich you are,” declared Stephen.

“Even though, I should choose what is the best outfit for me. I know my taste.” I scoffed at Stephen. My face frowning. I heard Stephen ordered clothes for me from a Bethany Boutique Store in Greece. Lots of establishments named after my mom. Dresses from famous fashions designers. I heard Stephen ordered dozens. "Gosh what would I do with those dresses," I said to myself. I abhor to hear their conversation  My inside was boiling but I needed to control my anger. When I got mad, things would not go right for all of us. I kept quiet for a moment then I dazed to sleep.

Suddenly I heard a strong force of noise just on the plane’s roof. "Thug, thug." It seemed like a big object fell on the plane's roof. I was alarmed of the noise. I sensed an eminent danger.  “An enemy?” I said to myself. “What’s up, Abby?" asked Mikhail. "I heard a noise on the roof of the plane," I said. "Yeah, I heard too," paralleled Darwin.

“Let me take a look at it. Some evil forces might be spying on us,” said Mikhail. “I’ll go along with you bro,” Darwin told Mikhail. "Abby stay here. Stephen watched over Abby," Mikhail commanded. They were about to leave when we heard a familiar sound of voice.

“There’s no need. Sorry, it was me.  I was just making a fuss to frighten all of you,” laughed Joey. I have been sitting on the plane’s roof since this plane embarked from  Japan. It was so cold outside. I need to get inside the plane.  Oh is there any coffee?” Joey never stopped talking to justify his actions.

We all stared at each other. After few minutes of silence, there  was a chorus of laughter all over the plane. Good Joey was around. At least, I was confident that no harm will be afflicted on us. Eventually I was not scared with this journey. I only wanted that our flight to Greece would be smooth sailing before I have to face Kalil. Thinking about this guy excites me.

“You can go to sleep guys. I just need a sip of coffee. You don’t have to worry. This plane is protected by invincible wall,” Joey declared. Joey winked at me. I smiled at him.  I tried to close my eyes. It would be a long journey to Greece. About 13 hours.

Chapter XVIII: The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

We all sat on the lawn in a round formation, holding each other hands as a sign of solidarity and feeling each other’s vibes. There was electromagnetic force being transmitted to each one of us. I believed that it was our spiritual powers combined together. I felt it all over my body.  Dad continued to speak. “Abby, I devoured the past although we are not directly involved in the revolt. However, in our genes, in our bloods, we are both human and angels. The truth is indispensable. We are generation charged with greater responsibility to this world. We should not fail. There is still one thing we need to fix  before going to Paris and this is your mission.”

I felt bewildered so I asked dad. “What do I have to fix, Dad? Do we have greater enemy aside from Diablo and his puppet, August?”  “Uncle Khail will explain to you what you need to fix Abby,” dad replied.

Khail started to talk. “We numbered as stars in Heaven before the rebellion. We were sinless, intelligent and in all handsomeness. After the war in Heaven, we were cast down to earth. We were divided whether to follow Diablo or we have to go on our own. Greed and selfishness were too powerful. Millions followed Diablo and build a nest they called the bottomless pit. We went on our own and we form ourselves into legions. There is one angel who neither follows Diablo nor joins our legion. He formed his own flock. He is a force to reckon with. He is feared by humans. He punishes evil men and women by castration. He believes that sexual desires caused men’s sin. They turned them into eunuchs. Or sometimes, put these men and women in a chamber and removed the bad self in them from their memories. Some became catatonic and found by authorities wandering in the streets. The authorities find this a mystery. This is his way of punishment to get world rid  from evils. His flock increase to thousands already. Removing memories from human minds is a sign of cowardly act. Humans were given by God rational thinking to choose what is right from wrong, what is good from bad. I tried to convince him few years ago to stop this dastard act but he won’t listen and he wanted to do his own way in punishing the evilness in men. Although, he may think this is the right way, this does not justify his actuation."

“Who is he?” I asked Khail. “He was one of us who revolted against God. His name is Kalil . I show you his image,” said Khail. Through Khail’s mind power, the image of Kalil is projected in front of us. He was tall, towering like 6 feet with masculine body, auburn hair and with perfectly shaped contours on his face. No signs of evil in him. All in all, he was similarly like grandfather and Khail – an angel, a fallen angel.

“Where can I find him?” I asked again.  Khail winked his left eye and the image change in the virtual projector. We were brought to the glory that was Greece. My eyes toured the opulence of Greece. Houses were usually built on the rocks in the endless coastline decorated with white pebbles. The seas were blue. The ebb of tides reaching the shore was bubbly white.  Greece reminded me of Greek mythology - the stories of gods and goddesses. Where the story sit in Olympus mountains.  The story of  power and glory and a story also of love and deceit. The story never ended and brought to the present era although it was just a myth. A myth that some people really believe that god and goddesses existed before with majestic faces.  A myth like the story of "The Knights of the Round Table" in England.

We keep on touring Greece until Khail’s virtual projector settled between the borders of the states of Thessaly and Macedonia. We saw a huge temple sitting on top of a tall mountain highly sculpted with Corinthian architecture. The architecture was magnificently amazing and pleasing to the eyes. It depicts Greek's arts and culture. I could imagine why Kalil chose Greece to be his headquarters. I presumed he wanted to be treated as God by the Greek people. Greeks were religious basing back to history. Greece was his crowning glory. I wish my presumption was wrong. I felt the surging vibes inside my body that I would not be facing a nemesis but an ally. I felt that meeting Kalil in due time would be just an acid test whether I could control my power or I would use my deliberate judgment.  “Damn! They were apt to something,” I said to myself.  Suddenly, the virtual projector stopped and it ended the discussion. I breathe deeply and exhaled out the air out from my nostrils.

I stared at Dad then turn my head right to gaze to Khail. “You’ll leave at 9:00 in the evening. You’ll be accompanied by Mikhail, Darwin and Stephen. We already booked plane tickets to Greece. You’ll be met by Cody and you’ll work with him. He is a secret agent assign in Thessaly but he is one of us. He has been conducting surveillance about the activities of Kalil.  He will discuss with you the mysteries going around in Greece. You need to stop it, Bethany. All four of you will be accommodated in Hotel Bethany,” dad said. “That is mom’s name on that hotel,” I blurted out. “We own that hotel,” dad answered back. I smiled and said softly, “It seems like we own dozen of establishment dad.”  “When you are in Paris, you will learn everything Abby,” reminded Khail. I raised both of my arms and quibbled, “Oh well, all mysteries will be unveil soon for me, right? But it will come first with a test. Okay, that sounds cool. Soon I am going to write my love story in Paris.” “Abby!” dad snapped at me. “Oh dad, I was kidding you. No worries. I am your obsequious daughter.”  “Good, you better packed your things,” daddy ordered.

I went upstairs, straight to my room. I gazed my attention to the window covered with flowery pink curtain. There was something that was instructing me to look through the window. I came closer to the window and brushed aside the curtains. There I saw a pretty woman standing, smiling and waving her right hand at me. I blinked my eyes. When I opened back my eyes, I saw her speaking to dad. I gasped my breath. It was mom talking to dad. I blinked my eyes again to be sure what I saw. They were all gone. Tears fell down from my eyes. Then I heard a knock at the door. I know it was dad. I said, “Come in dad.” “You saw your mom, Abby?” he asked. “Yes talking to you. So it was not illusion dad, right?" I asked. “She wanted this necklace to be given to you and you need to wear it all the time so she can be with you.” Daddy told me.  Dad gave me necklace. It was a beautiful necklace with a heart pendant. The pendant was glittering with small diamonds. Indeed an expensive pendant.  Inside the heart pendant was mom’s picture. I wore the necklace and let dad locked it for me. Now there were two necklaces hanging down in my neck. The necklace with angelic gold pendant I wore since I was three and necklace just given by mom. "That was my gift to your mom before we got married," declared dad. "It is so beautiful dad. Thank you so much."

Chapter XVII: The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

I heard a knock on the door. “Yes daddy.”  “Can I come in”, asked dad. “Sure dad,” I answered.  “Wow, my baby is a grown-up girl now. Very pretty and attractive. Your physical appearance is exactly like your mom in so many ways.  If I can only hold time in a bottle, I would still like to cuddle you like a baby. Yet no one can hold on the time. Not even in the palm of my hands. We can only reminisce what had passed. Some of the memories might have been buried already in oblivion. The only difference when I gaze at you, the memories of your mom lives on.” I saw the sadness in his angelic face.  In the depths of my being, I commiserated with him. Dad kissed me in my forehead. He smelled musk perfume. I could not trace tons of fine lines on his forehead nor silver hairs on his head at his 50’s. He was physically youthful with still strong muscular muscles. His eyes were radiantly green and nocturnal. I always love the color of his green eyes. Some people were afraid to look straight into his eyes. Those eyes represent power. His resemblance was a striking similarity of grandfather. They were mistaken as twins sometimes though. I put a big smile on my face of his comments. I drew near him, gave him a peck of kiss and spoke softly, “I love you daddy.”

“Do I have a training again?” I blurted. “Dad, grandfather trained me for almost 6 years of my life. I don’t have a life of my own since I was small. I need to live a normal life like any other kids. Have fun, go to school, have friends, maybe boyfriend. My entire life has been surrounded with angels. I never had a chance to mingle with humans.  I feel like bird imprisoned inside the cage with no freedom to choose what I ought to be. I am envious of those young pretty teens in the neighborhood. They enjoy life.  At night I can hear them titillated discussing about fashion trends, hairstyles, make-up, and of course dating. When they talked about crushes, they all giggled and pinched each other. I guess it is normal for teenagers to have crushes.” I snapped.,

“Ops that was a touché Abby. You are squawking too much. We have already set rules for you until you are at the right age. Dating is anathema to the rules imposed. Dad could not hide his irritation. When I saw that on his face I cringed. “Your grandfather went back to Shangri-la with Joey and Richard this morning. They have important agenda to put into consideration. It was very urgent! Today is your last day of training with your grandfather,” dad underscored. I jumped jubilantly and shouted. “ Ye-hey!" Dad interrupted me.  “Hush Abby. We are not done yet.” My shoulder sagged when I heard this. “Common Abby, follow me.”  I was hesitant to follow him. My inside was boiling, fists closed. My reaction started the stuffs in my room to jerk in slow movements. “There you go again Abby. Stop it!” Dad warned me. I inhaled deeply and said, “Back off.” The objects stopped moving. “Good girl! Just follow me downstairs,” dad ordered.

I obediently followed him downstairs. When we went outside, I saw my whimsical cat, Mojo. His tongue was wagging and saliva dripping. He was exhausted running after those butterflies scattered and flying everywhere. Their kaleidoscopic sets of colors were immensely an attraction to the surrounding.  “Mojo, you cannot catch them unless you fly or use a net or unless you want to be in your original form.  I reminded him. He grinned at me and wiggled his tail.  He immediately transformed back to an angel.  Haniel, the giant figure was now in front of me. I hugged him. I always do hug in appreciation for his untiring love for me.  The butterflies flocked all over him. I laughed at him. “Gee, they thought you are a sweet flower. They are hungry and looking for nectars to suck Haniel.” “Oh me? Oh no. I am not a flower. I am your soldier." He acted like a little kid and mimicked a small fragile voice. Seeing him acting this way, I giggled. Haniel giggled too  and  laughed loud. Dad was amused with us that he laughed too. “Shoo, flock to the trees.” I commanded the butterflies. They all flew back to the cherry trees. Their wings sparked brilliantly against the rays of the sun. I turned the butterflies back to light pink, light green and white cherry petals. Cherry blossoms still look awesome in summer. The beauty of nature is beyond description. The surfaces were still covered and scented with red roses. I collected about 50 red roses, threw them up in the air and turned them into white doves. The white doves flew in a V formation.

I saw Khail, my surrogate father and my siblings, Mikhail, Darwin and Stephen coming towards us. Khail’s sons were the only siblings I have. I considered them my siblings and my other true bloods since part and parcel of my life was growing up with them. They, as I would describe in a simple term were just right with me unequivocally protecting and loving me as their own. They were part of my system. I had a great fun with them under their father’s custody. I absolutely appreciate all the wonderful things they have done to me. My siblings waved their hands at me and I waved back. Mikhail was exactly my dad’s age. I was much closer to him. When he was near me, he embraced me and said, “Hmm my sissy. You are a big girl now. Time fly so fast. Look at you, you are sexy and beautiful.” I blushed. Mikhail always knew how to flatter me. Khail softly touched my shoulder. I turned around and hug him. I love this guy so much. He had sacrificed so many things for me as the sole legacy.  There was a spontaneous flow of emotions among us and a moment of silence. I could sense that I would be leaving Japan soon. The hairs in my skin rose. Japan had always been my home sweet home.

Dad began to speak.  “Abby, we plan a game, sort of a cunning device to test your ability skill. If you pass this test, we all move to Paris where my headquarters is located. We will leave Japan. I will expose you to new world and the secrets of the incredible treasures. The richest of the world! The power and the glory! You will bequeath these as agreed upon by the legions at the age of 18.  I promise that you will taste a little bit of normal life like going to school, have friends or whatever you desire to do as long as it is with the limitations of the rules.  If you fail this test, I send you to Shangri-La for another re-training.”  “Dad, by saying “we” you mean including Khail and his sons? Including Haniel?  Just a point of clarification,” I said. “Yes we all leave to Paris only if you pass this test,” dad emphasized. I was satisfied of the answer. I don't want to go to Paris without the precious people who had been sacrificing their lives and time with me. "Satisfied?" asked dad. I nodded my head and smiled. "Oh daddy, I am very pleased. Thank you so much." "As long as it makes you happy Abby, I am happy too."

Whether I pass the test or not is big question mark for me. I knew it would be a deceptive test. My heart started to leap and bounce. I love games according to my desire. I love to manipulate scenarios according to my will. I don’t want to go back re-retraining with grandfather. Not that I hate training but it is my burning desire to experience how it is to have a normal life even for a fleeting time. I was challenged to past this test and I must.    Dad noticed that I was tensed. “Relax Abby! I assure you can pass this test. Just use your good judgment not more playing on your heartstrings.  You are the main character in the story. You are the superhero. You'll go on a mission. You'll be only given one day to accomplish the mission. Your siblings would be the support characters. They are going with you. Haniel won't go with you in this mission or Khail or me. Let's discuss the details. Abby."

Chapter XVI: The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

“Abigail, meditate on the power within you in the physical realms. In your spiritual world, that could be easily manifested but in the physical universe, you always have to choose which the lesser evil is. Think positively. Rid of those negative thoughts. Remember your mind is your reality. Think of the good intentions and manifest them in your physical world.” I could hear every word grandfather utter in the early dawn of the sweet September morning. September is the last month of summer in Japan. My sweats glittered like diamond beads. They were falling down my face. I had no intention of wiping those sweats.  The climate was muggy rising to 86°F. Oh training, discipline and meditation, we almost do this for couple of years. I now master the mind power that includes the subconscious mind. I could blend them together in one realm but I don’t limit this realm as just a quantum jumping or there is an alternate universe.  Mine is a congenital power for part of my seed was that of an angel.

I am standing in the center of the circle. I have to keep myself intact within the circle. I could not go out or stepped the white line or I’ll be grounded. I hate being grounded. Grandfather would punish me severely under the intense heat of the sun without using any of my power. He would let me sit steadily and concentrate more. My brain got screwed sometimes. I got tired and drained too. I always want to live a normal life like any other kids in town.  Sometimes I rebelled against the imposition on me.  I remembered one time I sent the wind blew in the opposite direction. It resulted to a twister. Cumulonimbus clouds formed in the sky and a violent pressure winds were swirling down to the earth’s surface.  I was actually rebelling inside with my eyes closed. I didn’t realize that grandfather, Zar, Joey, Richard, Khail and his sons were already in commotion.  Daddy shook me and said, “Stop it Abigail. Oh Jesus, stop it. Calm your nerves before you destroyed the neighboring towns. ” I opened my eyes. I shuddered to what I see. All dark and the twister were forming towards direction east. I saw Khail and Mikhail driving the wind back to its former direction. Zar and Joey were airborne destroying the cumulonimbus clouds. Richard, Stephen and Darwin were blocking the winds not to travel east. Daddy scorned me. His eyes were furious. He was mad. “Abigail, you created this catastrophe. Do something about this. I can forgive your stubbornness but I can’t condone you if many people get hurt and die.”  That was the first time I saw daddy goaded with anger. I got tensed. I trembled.  I got the message. I know how he cared about human beings.

I embraced daddy to soothe his anger. He looked straight into my eyes while holding my shoulders. “Do something my baby.” In one great speed, I was airborne.  I was suspended in motion hundreds of feet from the ground. The winds were getting stronger and I could see that the angels were having a hard time combatting the winds not to travel east. The skies were turning darker. From time to time there were electronic discharges in the skies that I knew sent a panicky feeling to the people at the neighboring town. There were crashing booming sounds caused by thunders. Thunders shook the earth. I have few minutes left to correct my blunder or these angelic creatures of God and my dad would never forgive me at all. “Oh my God, I said to myself. Help me to correct my blunder.”  An instant ignition came to my mind like a light bulb. I sat in a yoga position and closed my eyes. I murmured, “You the winds of west Japan, where you sow your fruit there, return to the west. You west wind, disentangled yourselves from the east wind.” I could feel some resistance from the winds. I concentrated again and ordered, “You west winds disentangle yourselves from the east wind or I will destroy you and you’ll never sow your fruit again here on earth.”  There was still resistance. I concentrate more pulling all the chakras within me. I then stood up and raised my arms and released the chakras within me. I commanded the chakras to destroy the cumulonimbus clouds that cause the twister. There was violet uproar in the skies. The cumulonimbus clouds released rains but I was quick to command the rains to disperse. The west wind and the east wind separated from each other. I told to the west wind, “Back off.”  The west wind back off and returned to the western part of Japan. Suddenly, the sun pops out from the clouds smiling beamingly telling me, “Good job Abby.”

“Abigail” I heard grandfather calling me. My mind returned to the present. “Yes grandfather,” I answered. “What do you have in your mind,” asked grandfather. “Oh nothing grandfather. Just reminiscing memories from the past,” I said. “Those stupid things I have done in the past, grandfather. Ha ha ha ha,” I laughed. Grandfather smiled radiantly at me. “Those were no stupid things granddaughter. Those were powers out of proportion. Out of …let me say your liking doing it.” “Yeah grandfather. It was like a game to me, that whatever I want, I want to do it. At present, I know the difference. When to use it, when not to use it!”   I have one exercise for you before our training ends. This is the most magnificent thing that you did in your years existence,” he emphasized. “What do you want me to do, grandfather?” I was excited. Thrilled came to me that moment he mentioned it. I like challenge. Whether I can beat it or not!  “Turn the petals of cherry blossoms to butterflies,” he commanded. My eyes turned big and my face glow. I could still remember how I turned the petals into butterflies. “Yes grandfather, I can do it right away.” With one instant moment, the petals of the cherry blossoms turned to butterflies with different colors – blue, red, brown, violet, yellow, black, white, orange and multi-colorful butterflies. They were flying all around.  Then I turned the dry leaves to red roses-the favorite color of my mom. The angels were awed of what they see in the surroundings. It was splendid and like a paradise. I told myself, “If this world could be a better place like this.”

Training was often exhilarating. I returned to my room to take a shower. The dripping of the water all over my body sent a relaxing sensation.  I soaped my body with a rose-perfumed scent.  I was in my puberty stage. I have noticed that I was undergoing physical and psychological changes. My breasts were fuller and a spurt in my height. Now I stand 5’ 6” at my age of 12.  I was tall at 12.  I was getting a sexy figure with a little curve in my waist.  This could  caught the attention of guys if I was exposed.  Pubic hairs were growing too that I needed to shave my armpit to get rid of those unwanted hairs. Physically, I was more of human but what encompasses me most was more of spiritual being. When I looked at myself in a mirror, my physical appearance was more likely of my mom. My violet eyes flaring and turning to red if I sensed emergency.

I touched my reflection in the mirror. I was extremely beautiful, like a goddess but I was the dangerous specie on earth to our nemesis, August. I, Abigail Josephus aka Therah Smith would have to face him soon. How soon? I knew that somewhere in Syria they were readying for a war with us. I don’t have nuclear weapons that August have. Mine, was subterfuge.

Chapter XV The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

It was one refreshing morning after I took my bath. I preferred to wear pink jogging pants, white cotton Lacoste t-shirt and a sporty white sneaker. I tied up my long blond hair with a pink ribbon to match the color of my jogging pants notwithstanding, so that my hairs would not get entangled over my face during training. I gazed myself in the mirror. I was just a kid but I felt I was grown-up inside. I saw daddy behind me. He was awesome with his sporty navy outfit. He brought along with him towel and water. He was tagging along with me making sure that everything would gonna be all right.  “Common Abigail, let’s go outside. Your grandfather is waiting for you,” dad said.

My heart was racing fast as we stepped outside the mansion. I breathe deeply as I walked towards grandfather. He was smiling charmingly at me. He was in his sublime nature. Only wearing linen white dress and leather sandals. His appearance was somewhat that of Roman Caesar. He looked dignified in his dress. I saw Khail and his sons, Mikhail, Darwin and Stephen on the other end near the brook. They all sat in yoga position. Eyes closed and concentrating on their inner powers. I believe that sitting position was for meditation.  As I drew near grandfather, I heard a loud splashing sound of water. I halted. I saw bodies of water rose about 10 feet high. The water was dancing gracefully to the tune of Khail’s flute. The waster moved to the left then to the right then wiggled.  I gasped. In few minutes, the bodies of water dropped back to the brook.  I was fascinated of how they could control their powers. Mine was out of proportioned. Mine was always like a game to me. This was where I need to harness my power.

“That was excellent grandpa,” I uttered. “That was mind over matter or psychokinetic ability, Abigail. You possessed that power much even stronger than Khail's sons but you only need to control those powers through discipline. Let’s move over there. That will be your training ground,” Zar stressed. Grandpa held my right hand with his left firmly and we strode vigorously to a line-up of cherry trees. Dad was following us. On the ground, I saw  500 meters big white circle.  There was nothing inside the circle. No object that my mind can play of. I knew that grandpa would like to test my cunning ability. I smiled silently.

Grandpa gazed at me with his quizzical look and muttered. “Abby, I don’t want you to play games. That subterfuge thing in your mind, don’t do it please my love. That won’t do good in your training. You have to remove that device from your mind. Did you get my point?”

“Yes grandpa,” I nodded. In split second I felt someone touched gently my hair. I glanced back. It was Joey. He winked at me and I blushed. I showed him my thumps up. He said, “Abby, show me your focus and discipline in you.” I just smiled sheepishly at him. I jumbled for words. Daddy bent downward and kissed my forehead. He then lifted me up and spoke loudly. “You are my seed. I am proud of you.” He put me back to the ground.

“Abby you have to go inside that circle and sit in the center,” ordered Zar. I nodded. I was about to go inside the circle when Mojo suddenly appeared in front of me. I cuddled him. He licked my chin with his long tongue. I giggled loud. Mojo was my elixir of life.  I put him down after too much of a cuddling. I told him, “You have to watch my training Haniel.” Instantly, Mojo transformed to Haniel. I hugged my soldier and went inside the circle.

I counted how many steps I could reach the center of the circle. Just few steps but this will begin a thousand journeys for me.  When I reached the center, I assumed that I was the sun and outside the circle were planets rotating around me. I felt that my gravity attracted these planets to revolve around me. I was the source of the planets’ energy. I felt that I was the sun with powerful energy.  I was visualizing things before the training started. I wasn’t aware that the surroundings were turning to a kaleidoscope scene. Zar was alarmed. He called my name. “Abby”. I looked straight to him. “Are you tense?” I said, “No grandpa. I was just visualizing some scenes. “Alright you have to control your excitement and your proactive imaginations. Understand that Abigail.”  “Yes,” I nodded.

“Abby you have to sit in the center of the circle. Legs crossed and place your feet on the opposing thighs.  Back straight.  This position is a lotus position and commonly use in meditation. Lotus position will encourage breathing properly in meditation and foster physical stability,” explained Zar.

I followed grandfather instructions. I sit in the center of the circle in a lotus position, back straight and relax myself. I saw them observing me. I was the force in the center. I am the magnetic field. I am pulling them to look at me. Then I heard grandfather shouting at me. “Abby, close your eyes. Place your hands upward over your thighs.” I was about to close my eyes when I saw one figure near Joey. A grandiose guy about six feet with dark hair, tan skin and blue eyes. He was wearing silky white dress. I know he was one kind like Joey. A warrior angel. I waved at him and he waved back at me. He shouted, “I am Richard.” I smiled back at him.  I then obediently closed my eyes but my chakra in the center of my forehead was still opened. My third eye was still actively observing. I commanded my third eye to close and it did close.

“Abigail, inhale and exhale until your breathing is relax. Put away the negative thoughts in your mind. Reach your inner spiritual life and that spirituality with God.”  At first, I find it hard to concentrate. Thousands of thoughts were lurking and playing with my mind. This is the point that I am poor of. It took me 5 minutes to combat the negative vibes in me. I inhale and exhale again and this time I focus on the supreme thing…God. I saw a stunning light and I saw a man standing in front of me wearing white robe and a plain sandal. I was sitting on the sand near the shoreline of the beach. He was talking to me in a Hebrew language.  I asked him one question that bothers me the most. “Lord, what is the meaning of my existence?” He answered, “Before you were born, I know who you are. Existence is not a matter of question. It is a matter of accepting who you are.” I answered, “But my Lord my existence is too complicated.” He knelt down, held my hands and said, “It is because you don’t accept who you are, your existence. You have to accept it and you’ll find peace within you. If you need me just say, ‘By the power of God.’  You know in me nothing is impossible.” Then he bid goodbye, slowly walked away from me and said lastly, “Remember Abigail, I am just near you always”. And he was gone.  The only things I saw were his footprints on the sand.

When I opened my eyes that were the only time I realized I was levitating about 6 feet high. I saw them awed in silence. Their attention was focused on me. I closed my eyes again. I was floating suavely like a balloon in the air. I concentrated in few seconds and feel the surging spiritual power deep within my existence. I know I saw Jesus Christ, the son of God. There was a smile in my lips. I commanded myself to go down. I slowly was going down. In few minutes, I was sitting on the tailored green grasses still at the center of the white circle.

When I opened my eyes, grandfather was in front of me. He said to me. “Abby that was marvelous. That was a head start. You demonstrated discipline in you. Controlling your emotions and the lurking imaginations in your mind is all that you need. Don’t be a trigger happy like a nervous gunner afraid to be shot dead first. You still need constant practice until you master discipline and control of the powers within you. Only use that power when necessary to defend yourself and the world.”

I smiled charmingly at him. “Grandfather in my spiritual being, I talked with Jesus. He told me that I have to find the meaning of my existence. He told me that he is just there for me then he slowly walked away.”

“The last time I saw him was thousands of years ago before the rebellion. I am glad Abigail he has spoken to you in your spiritual self,” grandfather lamented.

Chapter XIV The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

The sky was once again tranquil when the evil spirits perished in thin smoke. The faunas came out from their hiding place but their eyes were wide opened. Their pupils were going left and right surveying if another pack of diabolic creatures would appear and spread terror. When they noticed that it was peaceful they all happily run in different directions to look for foods for their survival. It was almost 4 am. The morning breezes of the winds were refreshing and good to breathe. The trees and the plants were green raising their leaves up to the sky.  The smells of the cherry blossoms were everywhere. They fill the surroundings with their pink and white petals. The multi-colorful butterflies were flying everywhere meeting the dawn. Once again there was order in the surroundings. It could fill one’s spirit.

On the hand, there was still a clout of commotion in my room. That I can read from their minds although my eyes were closed. I could hear them asking questions how I passed through that invincible wall because no one ever did pass that wall except Joey. They never arrived to an answer to their questions. Those questions were grueling in their minds, playing in their minds.   I know they were astonished of the growing power in me. For me, it was just a game playing in my imagination. Subterfuge I say was my game. I transmitted these imaginations to reality. What they see was reality not just an illusion like magic. Magic is a trick. Magic could deceive the eyes and the minds. What they see from circus and theaters were illusionary product of a magician. Magicians were using ploys to fool the audience. They were using tricks to earn money. Mine was different.  At times though I felt I was losing control out of it. At my young age, I just enjoyed manipulating my thinking but inconspicuous to me, the effect was so drastic. It was out of proportion and unnecessary.  My grandfather was right, I need to control the surging power in me or I could be just big destructive monster of my own self. I got goosebumps all over my body thinking about that.  I shuddered to the thought. I woke-up from my subconscious mind – back to reality.

I yawned, and then wiped my eyes with my hands before opening them. I saw dad sitting near the window. Legs crossed and seemed confused.  Zar, Khail, Haniel and Joey were having a heart to heart conversation. “Gee,” I said to myself.  “What an adorable creatures! They all looked physically well-built and attractive. Their features were flawless and they were youthful. No trace of fine lines.”

Haniel spoke to Joey. “I know it was you talking to Abigail momentarily ago. I could feel your spirit all over me to an extent but I refused to believe it was you considering of the borderline between the Holy Angels and the fallen angels. We are no longer blessed. We are doomed but I am pleased to see you again Joseph after all these years. You are still such a brave and great warrior! You fought hard side by side with Michael, the Archangel and cast us to earth.”  Joey smiled amiably, stepped forward, hugged Haniel and tapped his right shoulder then he face them all and uttered, “I am pleased to meet you all of you.”   They all nod their heads as sign of greetings and approval. Their faces were overflowing with joy.  I could see the halo forming above Joey’s head.

“After we were outcast by God for rebelling against him, I never have peace of mind. My mind was tortured. I regret the day that I joined the rebellion.  We all separated paths after burying the enormous treasures of the earth in the Red Sea but we still continue to communicate through telepathic messages. When we were outcast to the earth, a proportionate of the fallen angels did not follow Diablo’s agenda. We thwarted him.  We cried in the wilderness searching God’s forgiveness even though there is no forgiveness at all. And that’s the pain Joseph. No forgiveness.  We formed ourselves as legions of the fallen angels and established our headquarters in Shangri-La in Himalayas. After seeing the ravage of World War II, I decided to dig the treasures for propagation of mankind. I named John as the sole legacy. Through John, we started to rebuild the ravaged of wars and put-up a more solid foundations for human existence. We build this earth a beautiful place to live for humans. All treated equally and to enjoy whatever blessings God has put on this earth.  When Abigail was born, John instead bequeaths the legacy to Abigail. John loves his daughter so much and willing to sacrifice everything. John was brokenhearted when his wife, Bethany died after giving birth to Abigail. John saw Bethany in Abigail. Bethany was born in the person of Abigail. They looked exactly the same,” Zar stated.

Zar walked near the window, gazed outside then turn about face to Joey and continue his story. “When Abigail was born and they were still living in Tuscany, Italy, Haniel who has been protecting and taking care of Abigail noticed that Bethany would suddenly appear to watch his daughter. She would bring red roses and put the roses in a ceramic base. She would then put the vase with roses in a small wooden table near the crib of Abigail. She would sing an enchanting lullaby song.  This always happened in at 6 o’clock in morning for almost one month. Haniel would just leave them alone. One day, Bethany told Haniel that would be her last visit to see her baby. She was only granted a month to see Abigail. She told Haniel that every time she came to visit Abigail, there were bunch of demons who wanted to go near Abigail, trying to harm her but was not easy for them to draw near her. She warned Haniel to watch Abigail. Bethany kissed Abigail on her forehead with tears on her eyes. She bid goodbye to Abigail and Haniel and disappeared. Haniel never saw Bethany from that day on. John was preoccupied with his mission and he spent less time with Abigail. When John learned about this, he put Abigail in close protection, never leaving his eyes from her until the day he decided to have Abigail under the custody of Khail to perform his functions.”

The words of my grandfather really hit me like a dagger. Every time I heard about my mom it brings me to insanity. I wanted to scream loud. My heart bled. I really miss my mom.

“Dad,” I called John.  Dad went near me. Kissed my cheeks and hold my small hands. “Are you okay, baby?” Dad’s forehead wrinkled and bothered. I answered, “Yes, I am fine dad. Touch me I am whole.” Dad smiled. I stood up on my bed and hugged my daddy. He hugged me back. “Abigail, you know I love you much. You are the only treasure I have. I die if something bad happens to you.” “I love you too dad.”  Dad carried me then put me down when we were near Joey.  He introduced me to Joey.  I gave Joey a hi5.  Dad was amused. “You know him, Abby? I jumbled for some words…..”Errr , yes dad about few moments ago. He just appeared instantly in front of me without even alarming me. Joey scared the hell of me. I almost screamed in terror. I thought he was an alien. A handsome alien who wanted to kill me! Ha ha ha”  There was a roaring laughter among them.  I said to myself, “Gee they are all peppy.”

There was a moment of silent. The four angels stared with each other. Their faces demonstrated exuberant questions. They were speaking through their minds most of the time. They changed positions from time to time and their movements were choreographed. They were like magnetic objects attracted to each other. Dad and I were observing them. Dad was simply irritated and interrupted their mental conversation. “Dad, can you speak in the language of men? I cannot fathom what you are talking about. It is so absurd when you guys are just murmuring to yourselves. I am here and Abigail who are involved in this legacy.” They stopped their mental conversation for a moment the Joey nodded in agreement.  Zar began to question Joey. “Joey I am still befuddled of your sudden appearance. This is unprecedented. We don’t really expect that you will protect us from vendetta of Diablo. True we are only few in numbers compared to those rotten souls yet we still have our heavenly powers which Diablo’s minions did not possess. His minions can only cause harm to humans but not to us.”

“Bethany knew that her involvement with the fallen angels would put her daughter’s life in danger one day. Although Bethany did not possess spiritual powers, she had a gut feeling that it would happen. Almost every day, she prayed so hard that God would protect her daughter and would give her a special power to protect herself. Through her persistent prayers, she indeed touched God’s heart. I was sent to protect Abigail before she was born. I have been watching and protecting her without your knowledge. God has also given her a an extraordinary power.  That’s why I am here. No one can touch Abigail until the time comes for her to face her nemesis,” Joey told them.

My heart was racing fast to hear Joey’s story. Another tour de force of my life. I could sense that my body was shaking. I have to control the situation. I inhaled deeply and exhaled. Repeating this several times. Now I felt calmer and my brain was relaxed.

Joey glanced at me. He knew. He told me, “Relax Abigail.”   I nodded. Daddy sensed this too. He went near me and said, “It is almost  5 am Abigail. Are you ready for your first day of training?” I smiled and answered, “Yes I am dad with my full head gear on it.” I could hear them laughed. “Ha ha ha ha.” Dad said, “That’s my girl.”

Chapter XIII The Legacy:The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

High above outside the radius of the impenetrable wall, there were evil spirits sneaking around in different directions. Dancing, jumping, flying, and laughing. They were on mission to get information about Abigail and the fallen angels to feed their Master – Diablo. One thing, to destroy Abigail.  Diablo had its own chosen one, August. Diablo thwarted Zar, Khail and their offspring and the legions for stealing the incredible treasures. He wanted vengeance.  He promised that Zar or his son or Abigail could not get away from his wrath. He would see to it that they vanished from the surface of the earth and he and his minions would dominate the earth. Mankind would be his slaves till eternity.

The evil spirits were gnashing their teeth and their saliva was dripping.  Their wings were dark and velvety. The thorns on their heads were thick and long. They had tails and their eyes dark red and sinister. Their claws sharp and ready to strangulate any human forms! When they get closer to Khail’s mansion, they dived with a maximum speed but they were dismayed. They only smashed the wall.  Their bodies ached and they boomerang back to space. They scratched their heads in disbelief. Their nostrils emitted gray smokes while their tongue wagging and dripping with sulfuric saliva. Their mouths  were cadaverine smell like.

Abaddon scourged with anger and shouted; “This wall is protected with indestructible wall but how? No fallen angels can build a wall such like this. This is strange! We cannot enter the premises not unless we destroy this wall. I cannot decipher that these rotten angels who used to be our comrades in rebellion turn away from us still has the power to build this invincible wall. Impossible! I report this to Diablo. You, Alva and your followers destroy the wall that protects the mansion.  I must go now and see Master. I must tell him what I found out.” Alva, the devil who liked to tempt men proudly said, “Leave it to me. I can destroy that wall.  I play with the soul of John and he’ll be smitten by me. He needs lust! That is men’s weakness. Ha ha ha ha.”  She laughed scornfully. The devils were all enthralled with the assignment. “Bwahahahaha,” they all laughed in chorus, saliva dripping.

They wantonly wanted Abigail – the sole legacy to the enormous wealth of the fallen angels, perished. She was obstacle to their Master’s plan.  Diablo ordered to smash her to pieces while she was still young. He sensed that the power in her was surging and getting incredibly strong. He was afraid that when she reached the full grown stage, she would overpower him. He feared this to happen. August was not invincible. He was a weakling, a coward but he was greedy and selfish. Besides, an offspring of a fallen angel.  Greediness was the warterloo that Diablo is manipulating in him. Diablo was the author rebellion, of greed, despair, destruction, depression, sins and the likes.

Abaddon was about to flee back to the bottomless pit, the home of devils. But lo, Joey struck his wings with his flaming sword. Abaddon wings were broken and he fell down fast to the ground. “Bang.” His back hit the ground! He cried in anguish. That was a blitzkrieg strike from a warrior angel. Abaddon did not pre-empt it.  Joey squeezed more his stomach with his right foot  so that he couldn’t move.  Abaddon snarled and cursed Joey. “You, Joseph the warrior angel of might, it is not your territory to protect the fallen angels.  You only protect humans. Get out of my way. You fool. If ever Diablo learned what you have done to me, he would torment and crush you.”  Joey snapped, “You are wrong, Abaddon. Diablo can never torment me. He is scared of us warrior angels that is why he is hiding in that bottomless pit. Look at yourself – the once handsome cherub. The once handsome, Azriel! What have you done to yourself? You are so ugly. Your mouth smells death.  What happened to that handsome angelic face?” Abaddon did not speak a word. What Joey said was true. He was so dazzlingly handsome like Joey before but he chose this path. He had no choice. He was scared of Diablo, the Prince of darkness.  On the other, he liked what he was doing. Torturing men and implicating despair, frustrations, anxiety and grabbing so many souls to hell.  For him, this was a vendetta since he was cast in the bottomless pit.  Abaddon was still lying flat on the surface. Abbaddon growled every time Joey stepped on his stomach with great pressure.

“It was my mission to protect Abigail and every person that fall within Abigail’s perimeter. No information can yet reach your Master. No harm can be done. Not this time. Not this time.  I’ll bound you with chain and throw you in the abyss of Andromeda. Not even your Master of the darkness can find you there. Understood?” stressed Joey. Abaddon grumbled when Joey chained him, including his arms and broken wings. He cursed Joey. “You cannot do this to me.” You cannot do this to me. When I get loose in this chain, I see to it that I have my vengeance one day. I am going to destroy you. You mark my words.”  “I will meet that day, Azriel.” I meet you again in Armageddon. I defeated you in the battle of rebellion. I will defeat you again. You have no match to me.  He carried Abaddon up up in the air until they reached the galaxy.  Joey was traveling with the speed of light. His direction – to Andromeda, one of the most magnificent constellations in the galaxy!  Andromeda was only visible in the Northern Hemisphere of the earth.  When they landed Andromeda, Joey chained Abaddon in a rock beneath Andromeda’s surface. He then protected the surface with invincible wall so no evil could ever rescue him. He would free him one day and meet his wrath.

Meanwhile, Alva commanded to her evil comrades to break the wall. “One, two, three; go break the wall. Use your strength and your power. Bring to me John. I will tempt him.”  Hundreds of devils gleefully dived down, kicked, smashed, struck the wall with all their strengths.  Every time they hit the wall, they all bounced back to the earth’s atmosphere. Alva shouted once again, “You fools, break the wall. Show me your butts..har har har. Break the wall. I give you men and women as my reward. I can get you plenty of humans who like flesh.”  Her eyes were flaring and her tail wagging up and down. She whipped them! Cursed them! Kicked them! The devils hid their tails and bat-like wings for fear but they love the prize: flesh. “Go now, break the wall you idiots,” ordered Alva. So the devils swooped down. With their thunderbolt kick, an echoing and thunderous sound was created. It shook the ground. The uproar alarmed the fallen angels. They went outside to see what was happening. They saw billowing dark clouds in the sky. Hundreds formation of evils were just high above them. The clashing of their wings made a cacophonous sound. Zar ordered Haniel, “Keep Abigail safe. Diablo’s servants are here to destroy us. I send a message to the legions down in Shangri-La to be alert. They seem they want to start the battle right now.” Haniel went immediately to the room of Abigail. Abigail was sleeping soundly. Haniel stood by the window and in full combat gear. He kept his self alert if in case the devils ransacked Khail's mansion.

“Khail tell your sons to position themselves and come back here. We have to take care of this mess!” Khail left and instructed his sons Mikhail, Darwin and Stephen to ready themselves. Within few seconds, Khail went back and joined Zar.  Khail in all his handsomeness was ready to take stride and kill the enemies. His elegant wings were spread. He was now wearing linen white dress. The dress he usually wore if there would be a battle. His right hand had a sword. A sword he treasured all the time. Zar was beside him. Also in full combat gear! He was wearing a white silky dress covered with metal armor in front and at the back. His sharp sword was ready to strike.  Zar closed his eyes and send a telepathic message to the legions in Shangri-La. The legions halted when they received the message. They too armored and position themselves. Their numbers could not match the population of the evil spirits and yet they were endowed with spiritual powers that evil spirits did not possessed.  Oblivious to them from the distance, Richard had been watching them vigilantly.

In the veranda, John too heard the roaring sound. He ran fast toward Abigail’s room. He saw Haniel there and he saw Abigail sleeping as if nothing happened at all. He told, “Haniel, please watch my baby. I have to join dad.” “You don’t have to worry, John. No one can touch Abigial. Over my dead body." John immediately darted out. “Dad, they are here, pestering us again." “Yes, son, they are here.”

The dawn was breaking. The sun was beginning to peep from the horizon. On the ground, they could hear the devils smashing and hitting something hundreds of feet on the top of them and from time to time creating a thunderous sound. They could not comprehend why the devils just stay there on the top and it seemed like the devils were having a hard time attacking them.  They could only hear them wailing and cursing above them.  Zar said, “Their echoes would scare human. I need to check up there and stop them. Human should not see this debacle,” stated Zar.  John come with me, we need to stop them. Be careful, Alva is up there. That filthy demon never stops pestering you! “He never learned her lesson, dad. If he tried to touch Abigail again, I squeeze her until she just turned into thin smoke,” John snapped. "Khail stay here and wait for my signal." Khail nodded.

Zar and John flew swiftly hundreds feet above the ground to the direction of the evil spirits when suddenly they bounced to a wall. They rebounded back few meters from the wall. “Unbelievable, this is not an ordinary wall, Jesus,” shouted Zar. Khail heard it below. He was stunned too. Zar murmured; “No wonder the devils could not get in, no matter how they try. “What do you mean, dad?” asked John. “This wall can only build by Holy Angels.” Zar was now excited and same time baffled. When Khail heard what Zar lamented, he flew up faster with all his might to try if there was really a wall.  He too rebounded back few meters away. Khail shouted, “God, we are protected by the invincible wall. Who did this? Who wants to protect us? Does this mean that our sins are forgiven already?” Khail was teary eyed and Zar too.

John didn’t know how to react. He was trying to digest everything they said. Above, just near them were hundreds of demons cursing. Alva was wagging her tongue at him but she could not do anything. She was hapless between the wall that blocked them. John touched the wall but there seemed no wall at all. Then suddenly, a warrior angel appeared before them. He was dressed in a white linen dress with sword in her right hand. He drew his sword up. Alva shouted, “Joseph, this is not your territory. You have no right to interfere. Stay away from this or I will not forgive you. John is mine to spread my nectar of lust. His daughter is mine to offer to our Master.”  If you can defeat me in a battle…John can be yours and his daughter. You know you can never defeat me. Oh poor Ava, remember you are a human whose soul fall to Diablo’s wanton desire of you. Many men lusted for you but thwarted you at the end. Men only want your for lust.  God punished you. You died of AIDS. Now you want to spread your virus. What a pity, Ava. Is that all you got? Carnal knowledge or flesh. This angered more Alva , “You, sonofabitch!”

Zar and Khail incredulously stared at each other. They could not believe in their own eyes to see Joseph, aka Joey. It has been long years. Their path separated during the rebellion. They stared to each other for few seconds with a wall between them. John stayed behind the two of them. He too was amazed to see a warrior angel just on top of them. So charming and dazzlingly ravishing like his dad and Khail. He just observed the interactions that would transpire of their meeting.   Joey looked at Zar and Khail and waved his sword. Zar and Khail nodded and waved back their swords.   A light from their swords met and it created a rainbow in the sky. Richard saw this in Shangri-La. He knew a compact was made between the warrior angels and the legions. Alva did not expect this event to occur. She sensed defeat. She screamed loudly. Her scream was echoing in the atmosphere. With one fast motion, she drew closed to Joey attempting to kick him forcefully and strangulate with her sharp claws. Joey avoided her. He flew above her. Joey grabbed her hairs and was about to drew his sword to behead her but instantly he halted. He saw Abigail levitating in the air. Her small body was flaming with violet and green chakras.  Her golden hairs turned platinum and waving with the winds. Her violet eyes turned red.  In her small hands a colored rainbow cannon ball was formed.  She was too strong that even devils were afraid to go near her. Her body was surrounded with chakras.  Abigail warned Alva, “You can never never harm my friends and all the people that I loved especially my dad or I will destroy all of you.” Alva answered, “You are just a small kid never scare the hell out of me. I can kill you right now, you boastful brat.” This agitated more Abigail. The power of her mind is more surging within her and her body emitted more chakras. Thousands of bright beaming lights were falling from the sky. Abigail ordered, “Kill those devils my beaming lights.” The beaming lights followed Abigail’s ordered. The devils fled away but the beaming lights ran towards their directions and hit them bull’s eye. Those who were hit vanished. Some attempted to hide among the trees, mountains, rivers, caves and oceans but the beaming lights kept on following them wherever they go. They wailed when they were hit and one by one the devils disappeared. Alva saw this and she was tensed now. She gnashed her teeth and screamed loudly. She tried to go closer to Abigail to strangulate her but the chakras were too much for her. She withdrew back. “You better go, I give you chance to live. Never bother us again,” Abigail instructed. Alva was about to leave but Joey struck her with a sword. She screamed. Her body was burned with fire from the sword. In few minutes she vanished in thin smoke. Abigail disappeared too.

John, Zar, Khail and including Joey were astounded of what they witnessed. John flew back to Abigail’s room. He found her sleeping soundly. He never noticed that Abigail’s spirit just returned back to her body. John was breathing fast. He was confused right now. He asked Haniel, “You never left Abby?”  “I never left Abby at all and was watching her all the time,” mumbled Haniel. “But I saw her a moment ago. She was levitating in the air and raging war with the devils. She killed all the evil spirits with those lights falling from the sky.”  That’s impossible. She was sleeping, John.”  Joey butt-in, “Abigail was not sleeping at all. She was playing with her mind again. What you saw was her spirit. She had astral projection when the compact was made. It made her more powerful.”
