Chapter XXI: The Legacy: The Dawn of the Fallen Angels

He did chase the butterflies virtually. He gazed at those thousands of butterflies flying in many directions in the air. They looked so marvelous. At instant those butterflies turned to purple roses as they all fell down to the ground. The garden was now covered with purple roses – a paradise. He picked one purple rose then threw it upward the sky and in one moment they turned back to purple butterflies. The butterflies were flying all around again in the atmosphere however after few minutes they vanished in thin air. All I could see were silver dust falling down to the ground. Gone were the butterflies that I had created. I was flabbergasted. This boy could do so much the same thing that I could do. I quivered of the thought. I loved butterflies. Making them into silver dust was a big contrary to me. My shocked turned into horror that I squirmed on my seat and made a small sound.

He sensed that I was furious of what I saw. My reaction made him baffled. He thought that I would enjoy  his mavericks. He relayed a message to me, “Abigail, I am sorry. I am going to transform them back to butterflies.” I fret back, “No, the game is over.”  He tried to say something but I blocked his message with all my power. His message boomerang back to him. He was off balance and he fell on the ground sitting on his butt. I heard him said, “Ouch”. I giggled. I saw him forlorn of what I did. He raised his right arm. I was amazed to see the butterflies flying upward the sky and formed these words, “I AM NOT AN ENEMY BUT YOU NEED TO PASS THE TEST WITH MY FATHER.”

Stephen woke me up. “Something wrong Abby?” he asked. “No I said. I was just dreaming. You don’t have to worry I am fine,” I said but it was ultimately a lie. “I heard you made strange sounds and you were talking in alien language unknown to us.” “Oh that, I was actually trying to practice talking in the Hebrew language,” I replied. Joey butt-in, “If you want to speak in Hebrew you have to learn that from me. I am a linguist. I can speak of many tongues.” “I would be more than happy,” I told Joey.

Alan was not definitely happy of what I have done to him. I saw that on his face. I was still a spoil brat perhaps or it was just a showmanship of power between the two of us. Whoever was the powerful could win the game of the mind. That was what I always hate about myself. The stubbornness in me but I was not a punk kid who loved to create vandalism in the neighborhood. It was for me a competition or a rivalry.  Despite of showing off which power was superb, I found him not a threat but an ally.  “Once and for all, I need to find the truth about Kalil and Alan. Are they allies or are they nemesis?” I questioned myself. That remained to be seen from this vantage point of view.

It was almost 6:00 in the morning. The sun rose from its horizon nest. Round and burning red! The rays of the sun made the clouds looked like flaring orange. Part of the sky seemed pale painted with light blue color. Looking down hundreds feet below was a vast body of ocean and somewhere at the edge of the ocean, the sky and the ocean intertwine. When you go to the edge of the ocean, it never meets the sky. It was such an illusion, a mystery. I sighed and stretched my body. Everyone was quiet and engrossed with their own thinking. Everybody was stationed at their seats. I broke the silence. I asked “How many more hours before we reach Greece.”  “Approximately, 5 hours more,” said Mikhail.

“Wow this trip is really long.”

“Well this plane is program for 13 hours of flight”

“You mean Mikhail this plane something kind of a robot.”

Mikhail smiled, “Yes Abby. It is. There is no pilot in this plane.”

“Cool. You people know a lot, except me.

“But you are more powerful than us, remember that.”

Mikhail was right. He was right and I said to them, “I can have the power to control this plane and we’ll be Greece in few minutes.”

“Never do that Abby. Our time travel is already programmed. Do not  alter anything of the plan. You need to make a calculation of how time works. That is imposed already,” sternly reminded Mikhail.

“I never had any idea of all these impositions. All I know I am in mission with a little help from you guys.”

“You’ll know that soon so chill Abby.”

Joey snapped. “Remember I am here Abby. You’ll be safe.”
